La soutenance de la thèse doctorale « Phraséologie et idéologie comparées dans l’art de l’épopée : Homère, chansons de geste, gouslé » à l’Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III. Andrej Fajgelj est admis au doctorat avec la mention très honorable avec félicitations ; ensuite, il fait une interprétation des gouslé, en chantant le morceau d’« Uroš et les Mrnjavčević » (Vuk2 34:126-33) :

O Marko, fils unique de ta mère !
Que le lait dont je t’ai nourri ne te soit maudit,
Ne parle pas faussement mon fils,
Ni selon le père, ni selon les oncles,
Mais selon la justice du Dieu véritable ;

Defense of the doctoral thesis “Comparative Phraseology and Ideology in the Art of Epic: Homer, Chansons de Geste, Gusle”, at the Université Paul Valéry (Montpellier, France). Andrej Fajgelj receives his Ph.D. with highest distinction, then plays the gusle as he sings a passage from “Uroš and the Mrnjavčević family” (Vuk2 34:126-33):

My son, do not speak untruths,
Not even if your father or uncles tell you to,
But do what is right according to the God of truth!

than to sin against your own soul!
